Laura is a healthcare communications and marketing leader, with a track record of helping organizations increase visibility, raise funds, and build strong, lasting relationships with clients, donors and partners. Prior to Neshama, Laura served as Vice President, Marketing and Communications at Arthritis Society Canada, where she led brand repositioning, media relations, and digital and direct response fundraising. Before that, she was Executive Director, Marketing and Communications at Baycrest Foundation and Baycrest Centre, leading the organization’s communications through the COVID-19 pandemic. Laura has advised healthcare not-for-profits, hospitals, and associations on public positioning, advocacy, and development strategy throughout her more than 25-year career. Laura has an MA and BA from the University of Western Ontario and is a Board member of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association.
Dr. Russell Goldman is one of Canada’s foremost experts in hospice and palliative care. He has served as Director of the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care at Mount Sinai Hospital, Director of the Interdepartmental Division of Palliative Care at Sinai Health, Palliative Care Clinical Co-Lead for Ontario Health (Toronto Region), and earlier in his career, as Medical Director of Palliative Care for the Toronto Central CCAC. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto, holds an MD from U of T, and a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Throughout his career, Dr. Goldman has championed integrated, patient-centred care across home, hospital, and residential settings, with a consistent focus on expanding access to quality end-of-life care and supporting family caregivers.
